GRS x Needless Reversible Kung Fu Fleece Jacket

 “Boundless” has always been the guiding principle for Hong Kong based independent apparel label GrowthRing & Supply (GRS) to grow and evolve. With this principle, GRS has been blending different silhouettes of vintage uniforms across the world with cultural creations from different aspects to create new unique styles that tell cultural stories with depth.

With the success of last year’s "Boundless; Needless" pop-up activation in partnership with Jerry Keung (3Keung) from Keung’s Golden Dragon & Lion Dance Team, GRS teams up with 3Keung once again to launch a capsule collection this year to celebrate the traditional lunar new year, with the theme of “Boundless; Peerless” (穹蒼無極  天下無雙), encouraging everyone of us to get moving again in the post-pandemic world to find your peerless self in the boundless world.

The GRS x Needless "Boundless; Peerless" capsule collection features the Reversible Kung Fu Fleece Jacket, made by quality Japanese fabric with a reversible design of a military fleece jacket on one side and a traditional kung fu jacket on the other. The multi-purpose military kung fu jacket demonstrated a mix of cultural elements and gave the traditional Hong Kong martial arts uniform a new look. Besides, the collection also includes GRS's signature Sun Faded Hoodies and Hand Stitched Cap, both finished with heavy washed and sun faded treatment with iconic hand-stitched letters, and presented in a two-tone look in olive and beige colors. Each item of the collection will have a limited run of 100 units.

Through this partnership and collaboration, GRS and Needless hope to retain the precious culture of lion dance, remind everyone of this traditional art, and make it even better.

GRS×Needless「穹蒼無極  天下無雙」コレクションのキーアイテムである「Reversible Kung Fu Fleece Jacket 」は、丈夫な日本製の生地を使用し、片面がミリタリー綿毛スジャケット、もう片面がトラディショナルカンフージャケットとなっております。この多目的で着心地の良いミリタリーカンフージャケットは、伝統的なカンフウェアに新しい着こなしを与えています。  また、GRS定番品 Sun Faded Two Tone Hoodies 及び Hand Stitched Cap は、Needlessのオリーブグリーンとカーキの2つ色でGRSの特色であるリウォッシュ効果とハンドステッチのテキストが特徴的です。 このコレクションはすべて100本限定生産で、より価値の高いものである。

GRSとNeedlessは、このブランドと手を組むことで、貴重な伝統芸能である獅子舞を永続で広げて行きたいと思っています。「伝統を守って、より良いものを作り」と言う信念を実行しています。
