Reformare Lab : Kimono Reconstruction 

In the past, under the name Reformare Lab, we experimented with transforming various vintage garments into trendy pieces. Two years ago, our team scoured Kyoto for various kimono fabrics, including royal mud-dyed black, seven-fold dyed, and plant-dyed materials, all of which are intangible cultural heritage.

All the fabrics were woven specifically for making kimonos. However, due to the prolonged economic downturn in Japan, the number of customers ordering custom kimonos has gradually decreased, leaving these precious fabrics to quietly wait in storage. We carefully selected different styles of fabric and remade them into shirts and hats. Since each roll of fabric can only produce two shirts or five to ten hats, the series will be released in extremely limited quantities. The color and pattern of each piece of fabric are unique, allowing every customer to own clothing that is like a work of art.

私たちは過去にReformare Labという名のもとで、様々な古着を実験的に流行アイテムへと再生してきました。2年前、私たちのチームは京都で、皇室御用の泥染めや七度染め、草木染めなどの無形文化財を含む様々な着物生地を集めました。

すべての生地は着物製作のために織られています。しかし、日本の長期的な経済低迷に伴い、オーダーメイドの着物を注文するお客様は次第に減少し、これらの貴重な生地は静かに倉庫に眠ることになりました。私たちは異なるスタイルの生地を厳選し、シャツや帽子に再製作しました。 一巻の生地からは、2枚のシャツまたは5〜10個の帽子しか作れないため、シリーズは極限量での発売となります。

各アイテムの生地の色や模様は唯一無二であり、すべてのお客様がアートのような服を手に入れることができます。
